Shinano Subcamp

Shinano Subcamp  is named after the longest river in Japan.  Originating in the high mountains, the Shinano flows into the Sea of Japan. Japan is famous for its blend of ancient and modern cultures which the sub camp team will infuse to  bring you the most amazing jamboree adventure.

Introducing the Shinano Subcamp Team

Having attended his first EIJ in the 80s, Sean has attended many Jamborees as a participant and more recently as Subcamp leader in 2016.  A camper and keen traveller, Sean and his team will bring his infectious enthusiasm to the Jamboree to make sure everyone has the most amazing week.

Andrew Rosam, better known by his scouting friends as Bruce, was one of the first Beaver Scouts in Brentwood. A keen mountaineer, skier and dancer. Working his way through scouting he is currently District chair. Never afraid of adventure Bruce has been involved in international Jamborees including the Jamboree in Japan. Bruce sets a high bar and will bring a refreshing approach to the Jamboree.

The Shinano team have a wealth of camping experience and include leaders from across the globe. Building on our Scout and Girlguiding experience, the team will ensure everyone has the most amazing time at the Jamboree and are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Shinano
