Essex International Jamboree is an enormous camp for Scouts and Guides from around the world. Our Celebration of Girlguiding and Scouting is back from 29th July to 5th August 2028 and we cannot wait for you to join us!

Each Jamboree is unique and special in its own way, in 2028 our subcamps will come alive as they bring film genres to life. Our participants will become the stars of the show with the Jamboree acting as the location in which their shared stories unfold.

The scene will be set at Boyton Cross, a greenfield site, near Chelmsford, only 40 miles from London and major transport hubs. Our participants will quickly play the lead in our story with activities awaiting from adventure, to creation and cultural immersion! In the evening, EIJ becomes even more vibrant with entertainment venues, music and more!

Behind the scenes, our incredible crew are working to make sure our greenfield site becomes a fully operational tented village with everything you would expect – water, electricity, shops, health and welfare services.
