Role Overview

Plan and deliver an engaging programme of activities, training and development for staff and leaders throughout EIJ 2028. Create meaningful opportunities for volunteers to relax, connect and enjoy their experience, coordinating both daytime and evening sessions to ensure a safe and high-quality offering for all. Work closely with the Head of Events and across directorates to develop and deliver a varied and memorable programme.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head of Events to create engaging and memorable staff and leader experiences
• Liaise with activity zones and venues to ensure smooth programme delivery
• Explore and incorporate training, learning and development opportunities aligned with Scouting and Guiding values
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members are confident in their roles
• Carry out risk assessments and enforce all relevant safety procedures
• Coordinate across multiple teams and directorates to align plans and requirements
• Attend planning meetings and respond to communications in a timely and professional manner
• Operate in full compliance with EIJ policies and procedures

Who we are looking for

Creative and enthusiastic individuals with strong communication skills and the ability to engage a diverse volunteer team. Excellent time management and organisational skills in an event environment are required. The ability to coordinate across multiple teams and directorates is needed. A flexible and proactive approach, alongside a genuine commitment to delivering a positive and memorable experience for staff and leaders, is essential.
