Role Overview

Coordinate the pre-event journey of Peggy, the official EIJ 2028 mascot, as she visits Scouting and Guiding groups across the United Kingdom to build excitement and promote the event. Organise handovers and logistics between groups to ensure Peggy's travels run smoothly, and support the wider Media and Communications team in maximising the promotional opportunities her visits create.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of Peggy's visits to Scouting and Guiding groups across the UK
  • Liaise with group contacts to arrange and confirm drop-offs, collections and handovers
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date schedule and record of Peggy's locations and travel arrangements
  • Work with the Media and Communications team to support promotional activity arising from Peggy's visits
  • Ensure all handover arrangements are communicated clearly and confirmed with participants in advance
  • Attend planning meetings and respond to communications in a timely and professional manner

Who we are looking for

Highly organised individuals with strong communication and coordination skills. The ability to manage a schedule across multiple contacts and locations is required. A friendly, enthusiastic approach and a genuine commitment to promoting EIJ 2028 within the wider Scouting and Guiding community are essential.
