Role Overview

Lead the team responsible for safe access and egress across the EIJ 2028 site, maintaining secure boundaries and acting as the first point of contact for access-related incidents. Recruit and manage team leaders, plan rotas, and produce the policies and procedures required to ensure a well-controlled and safe site perimeter. Report directly to the Director and Deputy Director of Response.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site control team responsible for access and egress across the jamboree site
  • Oversee control of site boundaries to ensure safety and security throughout the event
  • Manage access at all main entry and exit points
  • Act as the first point of contact for access-related incidents and escalate as appropriate
  • Recruit and brief team leaders ahead of the event
  • Plan and manage team rotas to ensure adequate coverage at all times
  • Write and maintain policies and procedures relevant to site control operations
  • Liaise with other Response teams and directorates on safety and access matters
  • Attend planning meetings and respond to communications in a timely and professional manner

Who we are looking for

Calm, resourceful and driven individuals with experience in site security, access management or stewarding. The ability to remain approachable and make clear decisions under pressure is required. Strong organisational skills and the confidence to lead and brief a team in a large-scale event environment are needed. A proactive attitude and genuine commitment to the safety and smooth running of EIJ 2028 are essential.
