Role Overview

The Site Services team within Facilities is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of the site environment at EIJ 2028, creating a safe, efficient and welcoming space for participants, staff and volunteers. This role leads the removal of dry waste and recycling from the site, maintaining a clean environment throughout. Report to the Director of Facilities and Deputy Director of Facilities (Infrastructure & Site Services).

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Facilities Infrastructure team ahead of the Jamboree to plan the most efficient method for removing recycling and dry waste from the site
  • Lead and organise the team of volunteers safely removing dry waste and recycling from the site during the Jamboree, working within the wider Site Services team
  • Be on-site during build week and throughout event week
  • Attend planning meetings and respond to communications in a timely and professional manner, on-site full time for the duration of the event

Who we are looking for

Individuals with previous Jamboree experience, tractor experience and a valid driving licence. Well-organised, safety-conscious individuals who can manage volunteer teams and coordinate the efficient removal of waste from a large site are essential.
