Role Overview

The Site Services team within Facilities is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of the site environment at EIJ 2028, creating a safe, efficient and welcoming space for participants, staff and volunteers. This role oversees the design, construction and installation of all electrical requirements across the Jamboree site. Report to the Director of Facilities and Deputy Director of Facilities (Infrastructure & Site Services).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of qualified volunteers to provide all electrical needs for the Jamboree
• Work with the Facilities Infrastructure team ahead of the Jamboree to ensure the needs of all Directorates are met, liaising with equipment suppliers as required
• Ensure all installations are safe and comply with current British Standards
• Be on-site for build week and take-down
• Attend planning meetings and respond to communications in a timely and professional manner, on-site full time for the duration of the event

Who we are looking for

Qualified electricians with previous Jamboree experience, a valid driving licence, and a City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. City & Guilds 2391 testing and inspection and 18th Edition BS7671 qualifications are required.
