Role Overview

Lead and coordinate a team of volunteers to support the delivery of all events managed by the Events Team at EIJ 2028. Support delivery across a wide range of activities including staff events, ceremonies, Discovery Day and Celebration Day. Ensure events run smoothly by organising resources, providing on-the-ground support and maintaining a high standard of participant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Events Squad volunteers across all programme events
• Support the delivery of key events including ceremonies and themed programme days
• Work closely with the Events Team to ensure smooth and effective event delivery
• Delegate tasks clearly and ensure team members are confident in their roles
• Provide on-the-ground support to event operations as required
• Carry out risk assessments and enforce all relevant safety procedures
• Attend planning meetings and respond to communications in a timely and professional manner
• Operate in full compliance with EIJ policies and procedures

Strong communicators and leaders with the ability to manage a diverse volunteer team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management and organisational skills are required. The ability to remain flexible and responsive to changing event needs is needed. A proactive, hands-on approach and genuine commitment to delivering a high-quality participant experience are essential.
