Role Overview

Support the Director of Facilities across all aspects of the Facilities Directorate at EIJ 2028, with a particular focus on the Operations Department. Work with the Head of Hospitality to oversee the planning and delivery of staff catering and front of house services, establish and run the Facilities Hub, and support the Head of Warehouse with the set-up of stores and the coordination of county stores and supplies. Report to the Director of Facilities.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Director of Facilities, assisting in the planning and running of the Facilities Directorate
• Oversee the recruitment of team members and ensure all volunteers are kept informed ahead of the Jamboree
• Oversee the planning and delivery of team weekends and training sessions
• Manage the Operations Hub during build, event and take-down
• Support all members of the Facilities team to ensure a safe, fun and enjoyable Jamboree
• Hold responsibility for the Facilities budget
• Attend planning meetings and respond to communications in a timely and professional manner, on-site full time for the duration of the event

Who we are looking for

Experienced individuals with previous Jamboree experience and a valid driving licence. Strong financial management, administrative and project management skills are required, along with confident problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work well within a team. A proven track record of leadership is essential.
