Role Overview

Lead the planning, delivery and day-to-day management of a themed activity zone at EIJ 2028. Coordinate both daytime and evening sessions where required, ensuring a safe, engaging and high-quality experience for all participants. Lead and support a team of volunteers, oversee zone operations and ensure all activities are delivered in line with programme objectives and event standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities as agreed with the Programme and Activities Teams
• Adapt sessions to suit different ages, abilities and group sizes
• Ensure all activities are inclusive, engaging and aligned with overall programme goals
• Lead and support zone volunteers and external contractors
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members are confident in their roles
• Carry out risk assessments and enforce all relevant safety procedures
• Plan and manage zone layout and delivery within the allocated budget
• Attend planning meetings and respond to communications in a timely manner

Who we are looking for

Confident communicators with strong team leadership and coordination skills. The ability to adapt and problem-solve in a dynamic event environment is required. Effective time management and an enthusiastic approach to ensuring participants get the most from their zone experience are essential. Previous experience leading activities or teams at large-scale events is beneficial.
