Role Overview

Plan, build and manage the EIJ 2028 website, making sure information is clear, accurate and up-to-date while ensuring it remains secure and accessible. Report directly to the Directors of Media and Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, build and manage the EIJ website
  • Keep the site secure by applying updates and patches, and maintaining regular backups
  • Ensure the site performs well across mobile, tablet and desktop, fixing issues as they arise
  • Keep the site compliant with GDPR and data protection requirements
  • Handle requests promptly, such as new pages or content changes
  • Before the event, ensure information is clear and easily accessible to all users
  • During the event, keep the site up to date and showcase the latest news and highlights
  • After the event, archive and update pages that are no longer required
  • Commit to the role for the duration of the event (Before, during and after)

Who we are looking for

Individuals with strong website management experience, ideally using WordPress, are strongly desired. Familiarity with Oxygen Builder and web design is desirable. The ability to turn half-formed requests into finished, publishable pages is valued. A proactive, organised approach with good attention to detail, and the ability to respond promptly to requests is essential.
