Role Overview

Lead the video team at EIJ 2028, capturing high-quality footage of the event for internal and external use, including the website, social media and advertising. Mentor and support team members, coordinate content requests from across the Jamboree, and help share the story of EIJ 2028 with the wider Scouting and Guiding community. Report directly to the Directors of Media and Communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the video team to produce high-quality content for the website, social media and advertising
• Mentor and support team members in developing their skills, including the use of video editing software
• Liaise with other teams to understand and plan their content requirements
• Plan and manage video deadlines before, during and after EIJ 2028
• Attend planning meetings and respond to communications in a timely and professional manner
• Commit to the role for the duration of the event (before, during and after), on-site full time for the duration of the event

Who we are looking for

Experience filming a large-scale event is required. An understanding of different output formats, including long-form, short-form and social media content, is needed, along with experience using video editing software. Experience coordinating and supporting teams of volunteers and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced event environment are essential.
