Role Overview

Coordinate all aspects of staff welfare across EIJ 2028, including the Staff Subcamp, Under 25 Staff Support, Noah's Club and Staff Catering Front of House teams. Ensure EIJ policies and procedures are followed to create safe, supportive environments where staff and their dependent children are well cared for. Serve as the primary liaison between the Director of Subcamps and staff experience teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations across all staff experience functions
• Lead regular meetings with team leaders during planning and at the event
• Manage the Staff Campsite Team, Under 25 Staff Support Team, Noah's Club Team and Staff Catering Front of House Team
• Handle issues or concerns escalated from staff experience teams
• Coordinate with the Wellbeing and Inclusion team on staff welfare matters
• Communicate with the Director of Subcamps and core team on operational needs
• Liaise with other directorates to ensure staff needs are met
• Support additional tasks as requested by the Subcamp Directorate
• Arrive onsite the weekend of 22-23 July 2028
• Remain onsite through the full event period
• Monitor staff welfare throughout the event
• Attend post-event feedback sessions

Who we are looking for

Strong leaders with experience managing teams in high-pressure environments. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills are needed. Understanding of safeguarding and welfare responsibilities is required. Experience working on subcamps or staff subcamps at large-scale Scouting or Girlguiding events is preferred.
