Role Overview

The Site Services team within Facilities is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of the site environment at EIJ 2028, creating a safe, efficient and welcoming space for participants, staff and volunteers. This role leads regular inspections and repairs of building infrastructure and equipment across the site, ensuring everything remains safe and fully functional. The team is affectionately known as the ‘Thunderbirds’. Report to the Director of Facilities and Deputy Director of Facilities (Infrastructure & Site Services).

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Facilities Site Services team ahead of the Jamboree to plan the most efficient maintenance and repair service for installed facilities during the event
  • Lead and organise the team of volunteers providing maintenance and repair support across all elements of the Jamboree
  • Be on-site during build week and throughout event week
  • Attend planning meetings and respond to communications in a timely and professional manner, on-site full time for the duration of the event

Who we are looking for

Individuals with previous Jamboree experience, general building and maintenance skills and a valid driving licence. Practical problem-solvers who can respond quickly and safely to a wide range of repair needs are essential.
