What a blast!

I'm afraid that this is going to be the last edition of The River Reader - mostly because none of us here know how to count any higher than 7. We should have published this last night, but we were all a bit preoccupied partying in the main arena...

We had a fantastic day here yesterday - talent contests, parades and celebration aplenty, we were spoilt for choice on how to spend our time. And our rain dances were finally answered this morning, blessing us with some lovely showers. Just as we were all pulling down our tents... Whoops?

Today's Wikipedia rabbit hole: post-vacation blues or, as we like to call it, the jamboree blues. You or your ward might be feeling a bit down in the days following the jamboree - don't worry, it's normal! It affects over 50% of us, and really just goes to show how amazing the experience has been. Remedies include large quantities of ice cream, chocolate cake and not having to go to work on Monday. (You're welcome!)

Thank you to everyone that's been tuning in each day, it's been our absolute pleasure to bring you the latest news from this pop-up village outside Chelmsford.

Until the next field!

That's all friends!

It was quite the celebration last night, as thousands of young people (and not-so-young people) surrounded the main stage for a night of music, dance and jollity.
