The wonderful staff down at Seine subcamp have been gathering stories from their groups - can you spot yourself?

If you have a story that you would like to share with us, get in touch with your subcamp team!

Jess said the best part of the jamboree so far was “going to the barn dance.” Hannah added “It  was lots of fun because there were lots of people.”  The girls loved getting dressed up as cowboys. Jess said “I am really looking forward to Neon Night.”

Georgina added she was looking forward to “It's a Knockout, because it looks fun. There is water and it’s really hot here!"

Seine-sational Talent

(Yes, I'm using the Seine old puns!)

Harper from 3rd Havering danced his way to victory yesterday as members of Seine took to the stage, battling for an elusive place in the Grand Final of EIJ Presents, which will be on the main stage on Friday.

Harper has dancing since the age of 3, which he enjoys with his older brother and sister. When talking about his routine, he said “I love dancing. I choreographed the dance myself, finding moves that go with the music.”

We will all be cheering Harper on in the Grand Finale. Go Harper!

Roll up! Roll up!

Out groups brought their Fayre activities out on Monday evening, for all young people to take part in their activities at our Fun at the Fayre evening activity.

Alfie from 4th Lowersoft said his activity (splat the rat ratatouille) “Was fun because you get to whack things with a bat.” When asked what his favourite event was so far, he said “There are too many things.”

Alex from Foresters said about the activities “It was a great atmosphere.”  When asked what was the best part of the jamboree, he said “Wet & Wild was fun. I enjoyed racing around in the kayaks.”

Noah from Foresters said he loved the activities and his favourite one “was where he won a packet of crisps.” His favourite part of jamboree has been “the barn dance. It was a new experience and I got to meet new people.”

Elijah from 11th Burton said the activities were fun “because there was a goal that you had to get.”

Phoenix from 3rd Havering got to try hurling. “He said the Irish instructor gave amazing advice. It’s the first time I’ve done anything like this and I’m really good at it.” Holly from Kilkenny FortGrange, who was teaching the children said, “I’ve been playing camogie (female version of hurling) since I was 10. I used to play for the best local team in Ireland.”

Jessica and Sophie from 1st Hadleigh said their favourite activity was the coin rolling game. “It was fun rolling the coins to the bottom. It’s been fun meeting new people."
