Another day, another issue of The River Reader. For obvious reasons, Tuesdays are my favourite day on Jamborees. We love getting around the site to see what's creating buzz: the big Activity Zones, the medium milkshakes and the small you-had-to-be-there moments happening from early morning to late evening.
Don't forget we've got more content available on our website -

Today's Wikipedia rabbit hole:
Bushcraft! It's the use and practice of skills, thereby acquiring and developing knowledge and understanding, in order to survive and thrive in a natural environment. Bushcraft skills provide for the basic physiological necessities for human life: food (through foraging, tracking, hunting, trapping, fishing), water sourcing and purification, shelter-building, and firecraft. These may be supplemented with expertise in twine-making, knots and lashings, wood-carving, campcraft, medicine/health, natural navigation, and tool and weapon making. You can learn plenty of Bushcraft skills on our Survival zone - have you visited them yet?
