Today's Wikipedia rabbit hole:
Jamboree! The word Jamboree has been used in scouting and guiding since the first World Scout Jamboree in 1920. The word was chosen by Lord Baden Powell as he wished for Scouts to be greeted warmly with the phrase Jambo! In his own words: "People give different meanings for this word, but from this year on, jamboree will take a specific meaning. It will be associated to the largest gathering of youth that ever took place."
Thank you for joining us - either from a field or from the comfort of your own home - and we look forward to sharing this adventure with you!
