A major aspect of this Jamboree is the active participation of Scouts and Guides from overseas.

These delegations from across the world would not have been possible without the tireless work of EIJ's International Team, led by Lynne and Louise. They have been answering questions, solving issues, and keeping the EIJ buzz going since enquiries first came in over six years ago.

A scone and cordial reception was held on Sunday evening for the Staff and Leaders from International Scout and Guide organisations at EIJ 2024.

Camp Chiefs Paul and Karen greeted the invitees and thanked them for putting the "international" into Essex International Jamboree, and thanked the International Team for facilitating them.

Various delegations made presentations, of badges, badge sets, plaques, and memorabilia to the Chiefs on behalf of their contingents and communities.

Guests were also free to address the assembly. Along with general words of thanks and appreciation, a representative from the Ukrainian delegation expressed the importance of the value of normality that comes from living the Jamboree life, free from the worries and strifes back home.

The evening was a great opportunity for the guests to meet with each other, chat, share news and information about upcoming events, keeping the international siblinghood of Girluiding and Scouting thriving.
