Last night, as the sun was setting behind the stage, the Famous Potatoes blew us away with their accordion skills and dancing prowess. It seems that everyone got the memo to bring flannels, cowboy hats, blow-up farm animals and boots.

Did you see the rogue flamingo dancing with a horse? That was Erika from Ramsey and Logan from Essex! They said to “just go for it” when dressing up and the whole night was a “10/10 would recommend depending if they have a costume or not”.

Some Aussies who attended, Bella Delia and Zara Goodman, said they were there to “unleash the Aussie spirit” and they “highly recommend grabbing your own Sherrif badge” and get in costume.

The Famous Potatoes taught a number of dances including Dosey Dos, ‘OXO’ and boot scooting. Some Scouts from Paris, France, Margaux and Emilie Portlean, Lancelot and Florian Godean, felt at home saying “Barn dance is like French Cancan” and they “would recommend it to friends in Paris”.

Did it feel like a barn out there? Thanks to our stage crew it could, they set up the hay bales all around, beautifully decorating the stage and the dance arena.

Everyone attending got involved by dressing up, dancing and singing to the Famous Potatoes music. For the first themed night on camp it seemed to be a hit and brewing excitement for the next, see you there partner!
