If you can't go over it, you have to go under it!

Whether you find the prospect of heights scary or exciting, there will be something for everyone at Up & Under! This zone is filled with an abundance of activities for you to enjoy from inflatable obstacle courses, slides, trampolines, zip lines, and abseiling. Follow your way under the yellow arch and look around for where to start.

We spoke to some of the keen Guides and Scouts from Danube and Ganges subcamps, who loved exploring what Up & Under had to offer.

When you first walk in, the Brentwood Activities Team really catches your eye, providing heaps of activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, and crate stacking. But they wouldn’t be here without the help of Steven and the rest of his team. Steven told us, “they started setting up in July, but we have been here since Wednesday setting the rest of it up”. Olivia from Essex Guides said, “it was her first choice” and that it was “fun and scary”.

Then if you look to your left, you will see a “rock” looking statue, which is an artificial cave filled with tunnels to explore. A pair of Scouts from Southend, Richard and Max, loved this activity; they said it was “really fun” along with being “unexpected, weird and a bit cramped.”

If you love obstacle courses, you will love the inflatable one in Up and Under. Amber from 4th Potters Bar had a great time doing the course and said, “it was really fun but hard not to fall on your face.” Amber is also “looking forward to trying out the trampolines.”

If all these activities sound good to you, then make sure not to miss the flying fox, Madeline from Hammersmith Scouts had an amazing time. She said, “it was really fun, but I was hoping to hit the targets at the end, and I wish it went a little faster”.

Even if some of the activities sound scary, just remember they have so many different activities fit for everyone - and don’t forget that you have your friends there to support you in your challenge. So be sure to check out everything that Up & Under has to offer!
