Bonjour! Seine Subcamp, like the real Seine in France, hosts many Olympic decorations on their gateways. Some using recycled materials, custom fonts and even including their own Peggy (we see you 10th leigh on Sea Guides). 1st Shenfield Scouts hung flags from many countries highlighting their inclusivity, and custom made a flag with the Olympic rings. 1st Arnold and Woodthorpe Scout Group used hula hoops to recreate the Olympic rings and printed the Eiffel Tower on curtains to welcome you as you walk through their gate.

The hub team members Andrew and Teresea said they have “an awesome team” and a “beautiful pink” colour scheme, and I’d have to agree the pink is beautiful. Seine keeps their young people entertained with daily and weekly challenges and even birthday shout-outs posted on their board outside their hub, have you done any yet? Leanne from Malta Scouts likes the “nice grass to peg tents in”, and “very kind staff”.

Have you ever been to Disneyland? Well guess what! You can go to the Seine Disneyland right here at our very own EIJ. Why not check out the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre while you’re visiting? Their decorations even include the Subcamp as a whole being shaped like the Eiffel Tower, such dedication!

However, did you know that the Seine isn’t even the longest river in France?! The longest river is the Loire, it’s 1,020 kilometres or 634 miles. The Seine is popular however,as it flows through the capital Paris and is hosting some Olympic sports in it as we speak.
Au Revoir, I’m off to a scenic boat cruise on the Seine! ‘Non, je ne regrette rien!!...’
