Are you a budding drummer? A star in musical theatre? Do you see yourself reporting breaking news or presenting the weather? Or, if being in front of the lens petrifies you, have you always wanted to use a studio camera? Then Express Yourself is the zone for you. There will be several different activities on which you can unleash your creative talents.
On the performance side, we are offering dance, drama and singing workshops where you can show off your theatrical skills. We’ve also got 100 Djembe drums to raise the roof of the loudest marquee on site.
If being on stage isn’t your thing, then why not have a go at some cool media stuff in an area making its debut at EIJ 2016? You can invade a newsroom, go on radio or go out and capture EIJ’s breaking stories.
How will it work?
You will get the option to complete one media, one performance and one alternative expression workshop. Your groups will be asinged before you arrive at the zone, and you will be given wrist bands to identify where and what you are doing. Remember, if you don’t get the chance to do the one activity you wanted then you can always come back on Friday.
What do I need to wear/bring?
Depending on what you fancy doing, consider sensible shoes like trainers for performance activities water to drink, and if you’re planning to go in the TV studio then try to avoid wearing green (unless you want to end up see-through!)
