Be part of the Facilities directorate which is responsible for constructing and servicing the Jamboree site. As part of this fun and exciting directorate you may be responsible for collecting dry and wet waste including the nasty stuff. Installing electric lighting, generators, fresh water, fencing and marquees. And keeping toilets and showers clean throughout the jamboree week.

There are many roles to be filled within this directorate and once your skills have been assessed you will be assigned to the most appropriate team. All jobs will involve working a shift system with 6am and 10pm finishes. Some flexibility is required as shifts may change due to demand!!! You may also be required to respond to emergencies at any hour of the night! The ability to work as a team, being self motivated, having a degree of common sense would be advantageous.

Having a good sense of humour, the ability to get out of bed and prepared to take the rough with the smooth are a requirement. The ability to communicate clearly when under pressure or with complaints is also a requirement. Some jobs may require training prior to the week. Some deputy team leaders to run shifts will be required. These will be responsible to the Team leaders, ensuring the motivation of their teams and that targets are met.

An active role which involves moving around site and working as part of either a day or night team. Team members require good communication and people skills, as well as having a calm nature and must be over 21 years old.

To work in a very busy cafe on a shift rota basis, serving customers, making drinks and keep the cafe serving and eating area clean and tidy. No experience necessary but good basis mental numeracy essential.
