Security Team Leader

Responsible to:

Head of Security

Responsible for:

Leading, planning and delivery of a security team during the build up to and duration of the Jamboree. Including but not limited to:

Secure the event for the duration of the Jamboree both night and day,

Manage entry onto the site, as well as management of database of those on/off sites,

Assist with management of traffic movements,

Incident management in accordance with event and incident plans,

All participants, staff and leaders

Role Summary:

Manage a team to provide security for the 2020 Essex International Scout and Guide Jamboree 

Main Activities:

To ensure the liaison and sharing of information, ideas and functions between all teams and personnel.

Manage the traffic flow / carparks at the event

Manage the day to day running of your small Security team.

Provide support in managing critical incidents.

Personal Specification:

Manage a team of volunteers providing security to the event.

Good interpersonal skills and can say NO (and mean it)

Flexibility with ability to manage others

Be available to attend scheduled evening, weekend meetings and activities as required

A good sense of humour

**Note – There is no requirement for either Security Team Leaders and/or Security Team Members to be Security Industry Authority (SIA) trained or licensed**
